General Info
ABA Courses offers the internationally recognized 40-hour RBT and ABAT training.
You will learn everything you need to know to work effectively with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Intellectual Disability and Down Syndrome.
In addition, ABA can also be applied to individuals who are developmentally delayed and have behavioral problems. The course is based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), the proven intervention method. This theory is based on Skinner and the behavioral therapy. Our courses are based on the official worldwide Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) course and Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT) and are designed to meet the 40-hour training requirement for the RBT and ABAT certificate.

The course is structured as follows:

  • You study the Powerpoint slides (English) and listen to the audio (English) at the same time.
  • In addition to this theory that is clearly presented, there are also many videos that show real-life situations.
  • The end of a chapter is completed by a short test, which will help you complete the final test. The chapters are all divided by topic.
  • At the end there is a final test, and once you pass it, you will receive a certificate for the ABAT or the RBT

What does ABA Courses offer?

We offer a variety of RBT/ABAT 40-hour courses, and we are continuously developing other courses. We are currently developing a training in PECS, VB-MAPP and Verbal Behavior

What is ABA?
ABA stands for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA started in the 1960s with Skinner. It is based on the science of learning and behavior. Behavior Analysis helps to understand how behavior works, how behavior is affected by the environment, and how learning takes place.

Why do you use ABA?
The goal is to increase behaviors that are helpful and decrease behaviors that are harmful or affect learning. ABA can help:
  • Increase language and communication skills
  • Improve attention, academic skills, play skills, social skills, memory, executive functioning skills
  • Decrease problem behaviors (tantrums, not listening, aggressive behaviors, addictive behaviors)
What is the RBT/ABAT training?

The RBT/ABAT training is based on the RBT Task List 2nd edition and the requirements for ABAT, and is designed to meet the 40-hour training requirement for the RBT/ABAT credential. This program is offered independent of the BACB/QABA.

It is the responsibility of the RBT supervisor to determine which tasks a RBT may perform as a function of his or her training, experience, and competence.

The Applied Behavior Analysis Technician (ABAT) is a paraprofessional who practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a QBA, or QASP-S.
